Wilma Moore Sauls

Wilma Moore Sauls, 76, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born February 8, 1950 in Raleigh, NC, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Anna Bell Sawyer Moore.

Wilma graduated from Millbrook High School in 1968 and went on to build a dedicated career in administration with the North Carolina Department of Corrections. She shared a wonderful life with her husband, Mickey, and together they enjoyed traveling to the beach and throughout Europe. Wilma especially loved Shag dancing with Mickey in Myrtle Beach and one of her greatest joys at the beach was walking along the shoreline searching for shark teeth, a simple pleasure that brought her happiness and peace.

Wilma is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Mickey Sauls; step-sons, Christopher Sauls and Philip Sauls; sister, Anna Young; nephew, Randy Young and his wife Suzanne and great-niece, Jessy Young.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 1:00pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Inc, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. The burial will follow the funeral at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
