ANGIER-William Michael Robinson, “Mike”, 74, passed away Thursday at his home. Born in Nash county, Mike was the son of the late William Augustus Robinson and Lola Griffin Robinson. Mike served his country for 3 years in the Army from 1968-1970, rising to sergeant before his discharge. After signing up at 22 years old, he fought bravely in Vietnam. He owned several restaurants over the years, including 401 Seafood in Garner and 220 Seafood in Henderson. After retiring and closing 401 Seafood in 2004, he moved back to Rocky Mount for 15 years before residing in Angier until his passing. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, at 3:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Angier. Although the family will not present, a register book will be available for signing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday. Mike is survived by his wife of 30 years, Betty Andrews Robinson; sister, Kathy Griffin and husband Rosco Griffin; daughters, Julie Robinson and husband, John McCarthy, Melissa Adams and husband, Bill Adams; son, David Robinson and wife, Tina Robinson; grandchildren, Jackson McCarthy, Kelsi McCarthy, Trey Adams, Taylor Adams, Jackson Adams, Jordan Robinson.
