William Guy

William Penn Guy, 83, formerly of Angier, died at his residence on Friday. He was a retired US Navy veteran serving in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. After retirement he was employed in civil service for 17 years. Bill was a friendly man who never met a stranger and loved being with his family very much. A funeral service will be held 12 noon on Friday at Piney Grove Chapel Church, Angier. Interment will follow at the Guy-Mabry Cemetery. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Linda Parker Guy; daughter, Linda Lee of Virginia Beach, VA; sons, Kenny Guy of Erwin, Bruce Guy of Angier, Tracy Guy of Garner and Jimmy Humphrey of Norfolk, VA; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM – 12:00 on Friday prior to the service.
