William “Bill” Dawkins

Bill was the son of the late Violet Dawkins. He was the brother of Jeanette Williams and Gayle Hedrick and the uncle of Wendy Gehrean, Seth Hankins, Cliff, Clay & Chance Hedrick. Bill was raised in Raleigh & he was a graduate of NCSU. He lived in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho for 25 years & the past 2 years in Clayton. Bill enjoyed Masters’ Track & Field, woodworking, home improvements, college sports, good food, time with friends & helping others. Bill was rich in friendships. His special long-time friendship with Joel & Connie Liles of Garner and their extended family, was priceless. The totally unexpected death was due to a heart attack while working in his yard. He will be greatly missed. No services are planned.
