Wallace Hugh Duncan

Wallace Hugh Duncan, age 84, died April 15th, at Wake Med, Raleigh N.C. He was born July 8th, 1941 in Harnett County N.C. to the late Bunnie Lee Duncan and Lois Ozella Chappel. Hugh is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jackie Abrams-Brown Duncan of 29 years. Brothers; Bobby Lee Duncan and wife Carol, Thomas Sherrill Duncan and wife Frances, Charles O'Neal Duncan and wife Maya. Stepson; Matt Brown and wife Donna and three step grandchildren; Miranda, Madison and Meredith. He is also survived by Brother-In-Laws, Ben Joyner and wife Jeri, and Bobby Abrams and his wife Betty.

Hugh was an army veteran who served in Korea and worked at Westing House for 38 years before retiring. Hugh was also an avid beach lover where he and Jackie would often go to relax. Raised on a tobacco farm and enjoyed working in his yard and planting his garden. Hugh also loved his family and extended family. He missed his younger brother, Frank, and sister Lois Faye and all his high school classmates.

A visitation will be held Sunday, April 19th, at Capital Church (1308 US 70 Hwy, Garner, NC) from 2:15 - 3:00 PM followed by a funeral service. Burial will be at Willow Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (6605 Hilltop Rd, Willows Springs, NC) immediately following the funeral service.

Jackie will be receiving friends and family at 1008 Red Brick Road, Garner, NC from 2 - 4 PM Saturday, April 18th.
