W. Eugene "Pee Wee" Hayes

W. Eugene “Pee Wee” Hayes, 80, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. A native of Harnett County, Eugene was born April 21, 1943, to the late Jim and Willie Alice Parker Hayes. Eugene loved serving the Lord and was a longtime attendee of Vandora Springs Free Will Baptist Church. He loved fishing, but more than anything, he loved spending time with his family.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 2 PM, at Tippett’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 5900 Mial Plantation Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Judy F. Hayes; daughters, Tammy H. Marshall and husband, Robert and Pamela H. Bruckschen and husband, Eugene; grandchildren, Britney Hayes, Ryan Bruckschen, and Kyle Marshall; great granddaughter, Lillian “Lilly Billy”; and a brother, Jim Hayes.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Lynn Hayes and a granddaughter, Ashley N. Marshall.
