Virginia “Jenny” Mae Mikus

Virginia “Jenny” Mae Mikus, 68, passed away on September 3, 2026, following several years of declining health. She was born on December 14, 1957.

Jenny is survived by her six children: Angie Mikus (Jimmy), Shirley Mikus (Michael), Rodney Mikus, Brian Smithson, Jonathan Smithson (Brittany), and Randy Smithson; her sister, Sherri Guzman (Barney); her grandchildren, Benji (Britney), Jacob (Makayla), Courtney (Jason),Mikey (Angelina), Hannah (Nick), Zachary, Cameron, and Katelyn; and her great-grandchildren, Abbigail, Benny, and Jace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Boyd and Sammie Clayton; her sister, Samantha; and her brothers, Sam and Norman.

Jenny was a free-spirited woman with a generous heart and a bright appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed playing bingo and searching for treasures at yard sales, bringing her own sense of curiosity and delight to each experience. Her warmth, humor, and childlike sense of wonder made her presence memorable to everyone who knew and loved her.

Family was at the center of Jenny’s life. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—cooking together, playing games, looking through pictures, and watching them grow. She took deep pride in each of them and would beam with happiness as their laughter filled the room. Her love was expressed in the everyday moments: a warm smile, a heartfelt hug, an encouraging presence, and the comfort of being together.
