Tina Michelle Hockaday

Tina Michelle Hockaday, age 53, gained her angel wings on November 4,2025 at her home. Tina was born September 30,1972 to Harry and Shirley Powel Hockaday.

Tina is survived by her parents, Harry and Shirley Hockaday of Garner; son, Michael Kabello of Garner, grandson, Max Kabello of Willow Spring and her sister, Sheilah Bristley of Surf City and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Growing up Tina was active in baton twirling at the Garner School of Twirling where she performed in countless parades, as well in local and state competitions. She loved riding horses and competing in goat tying at local rodeos with her aunt Teresa. Tina loved being outside and never passed up the chance to go fishing. Fishing was her passion. Her support was immeasurable for her son and grandson's hobbies and sports.

Tina graduated from MacArthur High School in Lawton, Oklahoma. She continued her education at Johnston Community College where she attained an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Business Administration-Operations Management. Tina began a career at Caterpiller Inc. in Clayton where she performed many duties including demonstrating heavy equipment to customers. She continued her career working at several other prominent companies.

Tina will be fondly remembered for her love of family and friends and her strong work ethics. Always putting others first with her kindness, loyalty and a heart of gold. She would always help anyone she could. Tina was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and niece.

Family and friends are welcome to a celebration of life in Tina's honor on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner NC 27529. Please feel free to wear Tina's favorite color red in memory of her.
