Thomas Augusta Fraser, III

Fr. Thomas Augustus Fraser, III passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16th, at 80 years old.

Father Fraser served at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Riverside, IL for many years and it was the biggest part of his life's work in ministry. At St. Paul's he worked with Fr. Matthew Dallman and others to experiment with a Benedictine parish model for the modern era.

The son of Bishop Thomas Fraser, Jr. and Marjorie Fraser, Father Tom was educated at Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina State in Raleigh, and the General Theological Seminary of Episcopal Church in New York City. In retirement he spent the last ten years in fellowship, especially with Monsignor Jerry Lewis, and a circle of friends. He enjoyed travel and re-imagining the garden at his house.

He is survived by his sister Constance Gray (Lyons), two nieces Charlotte and Fraser and grateful friends. In honor of Father Tom please be kind to one another.

The funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 23rd at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in the Chapel in Raleigh, NC. Burial will be on Friday, April 24th at 11:00 am at Salem Cemetery in Winston-Salem, NC.
