Thomas F. Joyner, Jr.

RALEIGH- Thomas Francis Joyner, Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday. He was a retired Army SGM, having served from August 12, 1957 to August 11, 1959 in Karlsruhe, Germany. In July, 1983, he retired from the US Army Reserves. Mr. Joyner retired in 1984 from NC State University with 31 years of service. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park with Full Military Honors. Survivors include his daughter, Annette King and husband, William; grandson, Liam King; special friend, Gretchen Hayes, all of Raleigh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay P. Joyner.
