Thomas Eugene Crume, age 80, of Garner, NC died on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Central Harnett Hospital, Lillington, NC. He was born on April 20, 1945 to Allen and Lillian May Crume.
He is survived by his children, Cathy McKenzie, Carin Pittman and her husband, Kevin, and Chris Crume; his sister, Betty Morin and Sue Kent; his brothers, Allen Crume and Raymond Crume; his grandchildren, Paris, Nickolaus, Alison, Ryan, Kelsey, Ethan, Kristin, Jordan, Chris and Keegan and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Bonnie Crume and his brother, Robert Crume.
Thomas was a loving husband, father, papa, great grandfather and brother. He always showed his family his love by his actions and kindness each day. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War serving in Air Force Intelligence. Thomas was a member and a deacon at Shiloh Baptist Church.
During his younger years while in high school, he was a record-breaking cross-country runner. When he was able to drive, he became a local stock car driver in his hometown of Elkhart, IN. Thomas was also an avid bowler. He spent his working career as a truck driver until he retired. To sum up his activities and career, he was a man on the go!
His visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 12:30 pm in Shiloh Baptist Church, 3414 N. Shiloh Road, Garner, NC. His burial will follow in the Veteran Section of Montlawn Memorial Park.
