Thelma Floyd

Thelma Lee Blackwell Floyd went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 9, 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her family.

In addition to her parents and siblings, Thelma was preceded in death by her loving husband, L.C. Floyd.

Thelma was born in Fairbluff, North Carolina to Adrian and Eula Blackwell. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Kuritz (John) of Raleigh; son, Chip Floyd (Lisa) of Clayton; brother, Truman Blackwell (Cindy) of Chadbourne, North Carolina; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild and a large and loving extended family.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 11:30am to 12:15pm, with funeral services to begin at 12:30pm, all at Highland Baptist Church, Raleigh. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Highland Baptist Church, 8524 Crowder Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603.
