Shirley Moffitt Runyans

Clayton, NC - Shirley Runyans passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a kind and gentle lady. Her devotion to her husband, her family, her faith and her many dear friends was her reason for living, setting an example which we will always hold dear and seek to follow.

She is predeceased by her husband, her parents and two siblings.

She is survived by her son Robert Runyans (Pamela), daughter Lynne Kennedy (Marshall), granddaughters Abigail Shaver (Patrick) and Camille Fullam (Sean) and grandson Bob Runyans (Elizabeth). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren - Ace Runyans, Maggie Runyans, James Runyans, Henry Shaver, George Shaver, Madeline Shaver, Lucy Fullam and Celia Fullam.

She was born and raised in Shelby, NC and raised her children there. The family will have a private memorial service.
