Shirley Mayne

Shirley Ann Mayne, age 90, of Coats, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in McCracken County, KY to the late Anderson Bailey Carroll and Marion Emma Williams Carroll.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Elizabeth Mayne Denning and her son-in-law, Fred Denning, Jr; her sister, Charlotte Davis; her grandchildren, Taylor Anne Denning and Camryn Savannah Denning; her future grandson-in-law, Zachary Muscarella.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille C. Greene; and her brother-in-law, Robert W. Davis.

Shirley was a beloved and faithful mom and nana to her daughter and granddaughters. Being raised in church all of her life, she was a Christian who saw the importance of being in church. When her granddaughters were growing up and their parents were working, she made sure that her granddaughters were in church. She instilled in them the values of being Godly women.

At Shirley's request, no services will be held but her life will be celebrated by all who know and love her.
