Sandra Carpenter Frye

Sandra Carpenter Frye, 84, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026.

Born and raised in Hickory, NC, Sandra met the love of her life, Ted Frye, and the two were married for 51 wonderful years until his passing in 2011. Together, they built a loving home in Greensboro, where Sandra devoted her life to her family, her faith, and her community.

Sandra was a longtime member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, where she faithfully taught Sunday School for thirty-five years. With her caring spirit and servant's heart, she touched countless lives as she cared for those around her.

She will be remembered most for her warm sense of humor, engaging smile, and unwavering devotion to her family. Sandra's greatest joy came from caring for those she loved and creating lasting memories with them.

She is survived by her son, David Frye; her daughter, Ginger Robbins; son-in-law, Dale Robbins; and her beloved granddaughters, Abby Frye, Haley Robbins, and Sydney Robbins. Along with her husband, Ted, she was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Hazel Carpenter; brothers, Gary Carpenter and Don Carpenter; and dear family members and friends who welcomed her home with love.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sandra's honor to the Wake Christian Academy (Capital Campaign), 5500 Wake Academy Dr., Raleigh, NC 27592
