Sandi Dorman Herring

July 11, 1966 — August 2, 2023

LILLINGTON – Sandi Dorman Herring, 57, passed away Wednesday at her home. Born in Harnett County, she was the daughter of Billy J. Dorman and the late Sandra Faye Matthews Dorman.


A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 6th at 2 pm in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. It will be followed by a burial service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.


In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, James Herring, daughter, Christiana Turner (Joseph); son, Joshua Whitaker; sister, Angela Ferguson (David); grandchildren, Jonathan Turner, Ellie May Turner, Mason Turner, Chandler Herring, Kendal Herring, Alexander Herring, Derrick Herring.


In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Krystian Whitaker and grandchild, Dexter Herring.


Sandi enjoyed her crafts and teaching young minds. She taught English and Spanish in the Harnett County School System, Angier area for 6 years.
