Ryan Avery Beale

Ryan Avery Beale, 32, of Arcadia, California, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2026, just three days after a heartbreaking accident which eventually took the life of his beloved three-month-old daughter, Olivia Avery Cebu Beale,on March 21st, 2026.

Ryan was born on July 27, 1993, in Raleigh, North Carolina, to Mark W. Beale, Ph.D., and Nancy J. Beale. He grew up in Raleigh, attending Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School, Instituto Oxford in Mexico City, and Cardinal Gibbons High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and served in the United States Navy Reserve. For his professional career, Ryan went on to serve as a Civil Engineer for the County of Los Angeles, California.

Ryan was known for his kindness, his ready smile, and his gentle, free-spirited nature. To those who loved him, he was a true Renaissance soul; he was curious, thoughtful, and deeply appreciative of the beauty in the world around him. His courage and selflessness were evident throughout his life, not only in his service to our country, but especially when he risked his own life to save a woman from drowning in the ocean off Surf City, New Jersey. This was an act that reflected the quiet bravery and compassion that defined him. Above all, Ryan found his greatest joy in being a devoted husband and father. He treasured time with his family and embraced life with a sense of wonder and gratitude. He was a member of the Huntington Library and the Los Angeles Arboretum, places that reflected his love of nature and quiet reflection.

Ryan is survived by his loving wife, Nikki Cebu Beale, and their daughter, Lillian Cebu Beale, and his mother-in-law Dina Heosontaty of Arcadia, California. He is also survived by his parents, Mark and Nancy Beale, of Raleigh, NC; his brothers, Mark A. Beale of Jacksonville, FL and his five children, Mark Cooper, Camryn, Colton, Callahan and Cody and Lt. Commander, Peter A. Beale, M.D. USN, and his wife Lauren of Gaithersburg, Maryland and their two children William and Jack and their unborn daughter; and Jeffrey A. Beale of Raleigh, NC. Ryan will also be missed by his extended family, as well as many friends from throughout the years.

If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be." (John 14:2-3)
