Raleigh - Roy Broadus Avery, Sr., 90, a retired fabric designer with Burlington Industries, died Thursday.Mr. Avery is survived by his wife, Pearl F. Avery of the home; sons, Roy Avery, Jr. of Burlington and David Avery of Spotsylvania, VA; grandson, Christopher Avery of Culpeper, VA; granddaughter, Erin Avery of Spotsylvania, VA; great-granddaughter, Makenzie Linn Avery of Culpeper, VA; sister, Mattie Duncan of Raleigh; and brothers, Paul Avery of Gastonia and Jack Avery of Erwin.A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012, at 2 PM at North Raleigh United Methodist Church, 8501 Honeycutt Road, Raleigh.The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 1:45 PM.Arrangements by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Raleigh.
