Roger Grantham

Roger Grantham, 79, of Oxford, NC passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026. He was born on July 3, 1947, in Sampson County, the son of the late Ransom Grantham and Ruby Lee Grantham.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Grantham.

Roger was a special man who touched the lives of many. He was a Christian man whose faith was an important part of his life. He never missed church and was always willing to serve. One of the ways he enjoyed serving was taking up the offering at church, a simple act that reflected his love for his church family and his desire to help others.

Roger worked in construction and upholstery throughout his life. He was a hardworking man who took pride in what he did. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing and hunting, and he treasured the time spent doing the things he loved.

Roger leaves behind his longtime companion of more than 20 years, Janet Sigman, who shared many years of love and memories with him.

He is also survived by his siblings, Fronice; Jimmie (Louise); Charles (Jeanny); Gloria Bachofner; Royce; Kaye Powell; Ted (Judy); and Mike (Kim); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Roger will be remembered as a kind, caring, hardworking, and faithful man. He was special to so many, and his presence will be deeply missed. His faith, his love for his family and friends, and the memories he created with those around him will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier on Saturday, August 15th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel, with Pastor Kevin Barbour officiating. The burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Fuquay Varina.
