Robert Michael Willis

Robert Michael Willis was born in Kinston, NC, on July 11, 1955, to Geneva Louise Willis and Robert (Bob) Fredrick Willis, MD. When he was 1 year old, Mike moved to Greensboro, NC, with his mother and two sisters, Patricia Ann Willis and Linda Lee Willis. After the eighth grade, he and his mother moved to Arlington, Virginia. He later moved to Angier, NC, because of love and spent over three decades there doing construction work as a contractor. Mike fell in love with Angier and found his community and his home there.

Mike also loved his birds. He learned about birds and their companionship and the love that they can give from his sister Becky. He had many birds, the last of whom was Mango. A service to celebrate his life is being decided upon and will be shared on his Facebook page once decided or will be sent to people by email.

Mike is survived by his sisters, Patricia Ann Willis, Linda Lee Willis, Robert E Burgin (Linda's husband), Rebeca Lynn Willis Hardee Neasbitt, William Neasbitt, and nephews Dustin Hardee, Larry Hardee, and great-nephew Destin Hardee.
