Robert W. Carter, Sr.

FUQUAY–VARINA - Robert Weslie Carter, Sr., 83, passed away at his home on Monday. A native of Wake County, he is the son of the late, William and Essie Honeycutt Carter. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Phyllis Dennis Carter; daughter, Jennifer C. Jolly (Steve) of Little River, SC; sons, Jimmy P. Carter of Duncan, Tommy W. Carter (Tina) of Raleigh, Robert W. Carter, Jr. (Kathy) of Surf City, Danny R. Carter of Stella; sister, Delphia Thomas of Raleigh; brother, Walter Lee Carter (Mary) of Garner; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe and Glenwood Carter. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17th at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:30 AM at the funeral home.
