It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bobby" Horace Stewart, who left this world on July 29, 2025, at the age of 65, in Apex, North Carolina. Born on October 5, 1959, Robert was the cherished son of Nathaniel Bennett Stewart and Rose Marie Stewart, who preceded him in death.
Robert's life was marked by an abundance of love, creativity, and passion. He was known for his brilliant mind and innovative spirit, always thinking ahead and dreaming big. Those who knew him often marveled at his ability to approach life with enthusiasm, and he touched the hearts of many through his creativity and passion for the world around him.
As a gifted drummer, Robert shared his love of music with many. He had an innate talent for rhythm and melodies that resonated deeply with those fortunate enough to hear him play. Music was not just a hobby for Robert-it was a significant part of his identity, a means through which he expressed his innermost thoughts and emotions.
Robert leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forward. He is survived by his devoted partner, Sandra Mayes; along with his daughter, Nicole Hart and her husband, Alex; his grandchildren, Jake Hart and Grady Hart; as well as his sister, Renee Furr. He also leaves behind close friends and family, who will remember him for his devotion, intelligence, and the love he brought into their lives.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held on August 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner NC 27529. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 before the service. A graveside service at Rockfish Presbyterian Church will follow at 3:30. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring this remarkable man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Fellowship Church in Warner Robbins, GA.
As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the legacy of love and creativity he leaves behind. Robert Horace Stewart will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him, reminding us all to embrace life with passion and to always keep our hearts open to the music around us.
