Robert Thomas Guerrieri
Robert Thomas Guerrieri, known to those who loved him as Bob, was born on May 19, 1954, in the Bronx, New York. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
Bob was a United States Navy Vietnam-era veteran who carried the skills and discipline he developed during his time in the Navy throughout the rest of his life. A gifted mechanic and master carpenter, he had an exceptional ability to understand how things worked and, more importantly, how to make them work. There was very little he couldn't build, fix, or figure out.
Of all his many talents, one of Bob's greatest passions was high-end vintage stereo equipment, particularly custom built tube amps and preamps. He had a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship, engineering, and sound of these remarkable pieces of equipment. His knowledge and skill in this area reflected the same qualities he brought to everything he did: curiosity, precision, patience, and an incredible ability to understand how things worked.
His greatest accomplishments, however, were not the houses he built or the machines he repaired, but the knowledge and skills he passed on to his children. Rob followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a custom builder and carrying forward the skills and craftsmanship Bob had taught him. Along the way, Bob and Rob grew especially close and became best friends. Their bond was built on a deep love and understanding of one another, and over the years they shared a friendship that went beyond the relationship of father and son. Rob will carry with him the skills his father taught him, the memories they shared, and the love of his best friend and father.
There was another part of Bob's life that meant more to him than anything he could ever build or create: the love he shared with Renee.
From the moment they met, Bob and Renee knew there was something special between them. Over more than 18 years together, they built a life rooted in love, companionship, laughter, and a deep understanding of one another. Renee was not simply Bob's partner; she was the love of his life, his best friend, and the person who stood beside him through all that life brought their way.
Bob is survived by his beloved Renee; his son, Rob Guerrieri and his wife, Shirley; and his daughter, Dana Vincent and her husband, Robert.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Gina Jeffers, Robby Guerrieri and his fiancé Arden, Jeremy Guerrieri, Tristan Fella; his great-grandson, Avern Jeffers; and his dear friend, Marcos.
Through his life with Renee, Bob also became an important part of the lives of her children and their families. He shared a special bond with Tori (Jason) and their children, Axton, Kayden, and Carson, who held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by Renee's children, Michael (Shari) and Elena (Al), and their families, who were an important part of the life and family he shared with Renee.
Bob will be remembered for his brilliant mind, his remarkable skills, his love of building and creating, and the many things he was able to teach and share with the people around him. Most of all, he will be remembered for the love he gave, the people he brought together, and the lasting mark he left on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
There will be a family service from 2:00-4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home at 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.
