Robert G. “Bob” Barnes

Robert Graham “Bob” Barnes, 89, of Raleigh died Thursday, Nov. 12th. Bob was born in Wake County to the late Oscar Gaston Barnes and Stella Barham Barnes. He retired from the Employment Security Commission after many years of service. He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Barnes of Oxford, NC and his nephews, Jerry Barnes, O.G. “Rusty” Barnes III, Jimmy “Jimbo” Barnes, Jr., and Carlton Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, O.G. Barnes, Jr; and Joseph E. Barnes; sisters, Ella Louise Barnes, Virginia Barnes Pruitt and Edna Barnes Taylor. Funeral services and Entombment rites will be held Monday at 2:30 PM,  November 16, 2015 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Mausoleum.
