Robert Truett Adams

Robert Truett Adams passed away June 8, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. He was born Oct. 6, 1939 in Harnett County to James Dorsett and Lois Morris Adams. Truett was married to Dot Liles, until her passing. Truett had a stepson, Terry and grandchildren, Crystal and Addison, and great-grandchildren. Truett was a loving brother and uncle and devoted to his long-time friend, Alice.

After graduating Angier High School, Truett joined the U.S. Navy. He was deployed to Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Following his time in the U.S. Navy, Truett was an electrician by trade. Truett is survived by his brother James of Michigan, and Max "Doc" and Portia Adams of Angier, as well as numerous niece and nephews. Truett was always known as the grill master, the motorcycle enthusiast and life of the party.

A celebration of life will be held on June 14th, 2:00 pm at Crosswalk Church, 6720 NC 210 N., Angier, NC, 27501.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crosswalk Church.
