Randall W. Smith

Fuquay-Varina– Randall Wright Smith, 82-, passed away Monday at his home. A native of Harnett county, he was the son of the late Judd Smith and Vera Matthews Smith. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 11th at 11:00 AM at Chalybeate Baptist Church Cemetery, Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends at the home at other times. He is survived by his wife, Shirley McLamb Smith; son, Randy Smith (Donna); daughters, Sandra Smith Duvall of Holly Springs, Sherry Jackson of Fuquay-Varina, Patricia Avery (Robert) of Benson, Bonnie Jackson of Dunn; sisters, Bonnie Stein of Nashville, TN, Betty Bartlett of Wilson; grandchildren, Buddy Smith, JJ Smith, April Capps (Reed), Jennifer Bell, Phillip Duvall and fiancé Sarah Partin, Kayla Roseman (Josh), Wendy Thompson, Tracy Cox; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, Randall was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Beth Howard; and brother, Eugene Holt Smith.
