R. Carlton Mangum

GARNER- R. Carlton Mangum, 88, died Friday. He was a native of Wake County and a member of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Association for 10 years. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Gray (Ozzie) and his son, Bob Mangum (Regina), as well as 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Carlton was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie W. Mangum. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 6020 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.
