Pete Denton, Sr.

WHITE LAKE – Pete Denton, Sr., 89, passed away at his home on Monday. Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Richard David Denton and Martha Medlin Denton.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 19th at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow the service at Harnett Memorial Park, Lillington.

Pete is survived by his children, Teresa Atwood (Dwayne Marshall) of White Lake, Carolyn Hunt of White Lake, and Pete Denton, Jr. (Debrah) of Raleigh; sisters, Judy Ball, Shirley Potter, Doris Collins, and Peggy Oakley; grandchildren, Jason Hunt (Lauren) of Angier and Pete Denton, III of Angier; great-grandchildren, Hailey Hunt and Calob Macon, both of Angier.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Denton; son, Donald Craig Denton; and three brothers.
