Patricia Ann Malile, of Garner, North Carolina, passed away tragically on the late morning of June 24, 2026, at the age of 79.
Born to Charles and June Hoffman, Patricia dedicated her life to her family. Following a long and loving romance that began in a New York soda and ice cream parlor, Patricia is now reunited with her beloved husband, Ozzie, dancing together once again in heaven.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas Hoffman and sister-in-law Patricia Malile; her children, Tracy and Eddie Higgins, Kelly and Lois Malile, and Toni-Ann and Eddie Stewart. She also leaves behind her pride and joy-her grandchildren: Taylor Ann, Cortney June (Justin), Edward Patrick, Victoria Lynn (Tony), Edward Lawrence, and Marissa Grace-and her beloved great-grandchildren, Branson, Braelynn, Antonio, Brooklyn, Briggs, and newborn Axle.
Known to most as "Pat," she was a woman of deep faith who loved God, enjoyed bowling with her friends, and never turned down the thrill of a slot machine. Her greatest joy, however, came from celebrating the people she loved.
Whether she was cheering on her children as they built successful careers and beautiful homes, celebrating her grandchildren as they graduated, traveled the world, fell in love, achieved their dreams, and grow their own families, or proudly sitting in the stands at her great-grandchildren's sporting events, "Mom" and "Nanny" was always the loudest cheerleader in the room. If there was good news to celebrate, she was the first to let the whole world know just how proud she was.
Her long daily phone calls, her strong presence, unwavering love, and constant encouragement will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in knowing she is once again with the love of her life, dancing in heaven.
