Ovelyn Jan Pleasant Stancil

ANGIER - Ovelyn P. Stancil, 81, passed away after an extended illness. A native of Johnston County. She was the daughter of the late John and Janie Honeycutt Pleasant. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday March 31, 2014 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Angier. Burial will follow at Sandy Grove Cemetery, Angier. Ovelyn was preceded in death by her parents, a son , C. Steven Stancil and a grandson Scott Stancil. Surviving are her husband, of 62 years, Carl L. Stancil; sister, Jackie Dierickx and husband John; great-grandson Chance Ray Stancil guardian, Lester Stancil and numerous extended family. Family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service from 1 - 2 PM.
