Newton Hamilton

FUQUAY-VARINA – Newton Hamilton, 83, passed away Thursday at his home. A native of Harnett County he was the son of the late Robert Worth Hamilton, Sr. and Vernie Seate Hamilton. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jane Coats Hamilton; daughter, Diane Lee (Garry) of Garner, sons, Mark Hamilton (Nancy) and Steve Hamilton (Jill) both of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Stephanie Horne, Eric Lee, Michele Stanley, April Hamilton, Abigail Hamilton; great-granddaughter, AnnaGrace Lee; brother, Jimmy Hamilton of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Nancy Nye of Chapel Hill.
