Nathan Lawrence Hudson

Nathan Lawrence Hudson, 33, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Born September 20, 1992 in Durham County, NC, he is the son of Jonathan “Keith” Hudson and the late Kimberly Parrish Hudson.

Nathan was a simple guy who found joy in the people he loved and the things that made life meaningful to him. He graduated from West Johnston High School in 2011, where he was a proud member of the marching band, playing the euphonium his Grandma Hudson had given him. During his years in the band, they earned many awards and had the incredible opportunity to march in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Nathan went on to attend East Carolina University, where he made many lasting friendships and gained experiences that stayed with him throughout his life.

Nathan’s faith was an important part of who he was. He was very active in his church youth group and carried a strong faith with him as he grew older. He loved to travel and was always eager to see somewhere new, even taking jobs that gave him the opportunity to experience different places and meet different people. He also had a lifelong love of NASCAR, a passion he shared with his dad and Uncle Don. From an early age, he spent countless weekends at races and tracks, making memories that they all cherished.

Music was another great love of Nathan’s, and he enjoyed listening to all genres. Nathan loved playing soccer and played for many years with Cleveland Athletics when he was growing up. He was also a huge football fan, proudly cheering for his favorite team, the New Orleans Saints, and participating in fantasy football leagues. More than anything, Nathan loved his people. He appreciated the simple parts of life—the music, the races, the games, the places he traveled, and most of all, the people who made those moments special. He didn’t need much to be happy; he simply loved being surrounded by the people and things he loved.

Nathan is survived by his loving father, Jonathan “Keith” Hudson; sister, Madison Hudson; special aunts, Tina Carter and Becky Parrish and his lifelong best friend, Keegan Norris.

Nathan was preceded in death by his mother, Kimberly Parrish Hudson; aunts, Cathy Williams and Yvonne Williams; uncle, Don Hudson; and grandparents, Lawrence and Betty Hudson and Ted and Emily Partin.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at 3:00pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.
