Nancy Jo Reavis

Nancy Jo Baker Reavis, age 84, passed peacefully on September 22, 2025. She was born on August 2, 1941 to the late Wyatt Baker and Myrtle Baker.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Newton; by daughters, Stephanie Jo Reavis Miller (Michael) and Wendy Lynn Reavis Beasley (Kendall); her grandchildren, Edward "Eddie" Myatt King, Hunter Mac Beasley, Breanna LaRae Beasley, Krysten Renee Robbins; great-grandchildren, Justin Robbins, Nevaeh Robbins, Nova Robbins and sister Shirley G. Baker.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her first husband Edward "Butch" Reavis of 50 years; brothers; Garland Baker, James W. Baker, Ronald L Baker and Charles Lee Baker; sisters; Marie Baker Ashworth and Linda Jean Jefferies.

Nancy had a long and dedicated professional career. She worked at Cameron Brown for 10.5 years, Telerent Leasing Corporation for 27.5 years and H & R Block for 22 years. Her hard work ethic left a lasting impression.

She was a devoted member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC, from 1969 until her passing in 2025. Nancy lived her life as a faithful servant to her Lord Jesus Christ, guided daily by her unwavering faith. She found joy in the glory of the sunrise and the blessing of the sunset, always thankful for the beauty and grace of each day.
