Miriam Gates Harper

Miriam Gates Harper, 87, walked through the gates of heaven to be with the Lord Saturday, a native of Pitt Co. she was the daughter of the late George and Alice McCargo Gates. Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, Raleigh. Surviving are her daughter, Miriam Ansley of Raleigh; sons, Alan Harper (Carolyn) of Kinston, John Harper (Donna) of Richmond VA, George Harper (Rosie) of Raleigh, Billy Harper (Denise) of Washington NC, Tommy Harper (Ann) of Concord, NC and Sam Harper (Sandie) of Raleigh; brother, David Gates of GA; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
