Mildred E. Kane

GARNER - Mildred E. Kane, 92, passed away on Monday. Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Laura Longbottom. Mildred was an active member in her church and volunteered for the American Red Cross. She enjoyed playing the piano, baking, and sewing. After moving to Garner, she became very involved with the GarnerSeniorCenter and taking care of her grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, 4:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Light and husband, Kurt; grandchildren, Kevin and Kelsey Light and niece, Marcia Thraillkill of Hernando, MS. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Kane; sister, Evelyn White and brother, Albert Longbottom.
