Maxine S. Oliphant

Maxine Steadman Oliphant, 87, died Tuesday at Rex Rehab Center. A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Friday at First Baptist Church.  Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Oliphant. Surviving are her daughter, Shirley Andrews and husband David of Raleigh; son, Dennis Oliphant and fiancée, Pamela Lunsford of Oxford; six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 – 1:00 pm Friday prior to the service.
