Mary Mclendon

Mary Ida Soles McLendon, 69, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Southern Pines she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Minnie Mae Medlin Soles. Funeral Service will be at 12:00 Noon Tuesday Dec. 23, 2014 in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial to follow at Sandy Grove Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Henry McLendon; daughter, Cynthia Wells and husband, David; sons Henry McLendon III and wife, Maria, Tim McLendon and wife, Sue, Bob McLendon and wife, Debbie, Kirk McLendon and wife Jen; brothers, Rick Gilchrist and wife, Deborah, Wayne Soles and wife, Loretta, Harold Soles and wife, Judy and  Jerry Gilchrist; eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother Danny Gilchrist, also preceded in death by step-father E. J. Gilchrist. The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 12:00, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
