Mary Joan Mcguire

Mary McGuire, 96 of Manhasset N.Y. died peacefully on Oct. 31, 2018 in Raleigh N.C. where she happily resided the last eight years of her life. The daughter of Harry and Julia Furlong, loving sister and sister in law to Robert and Marilyn Furlong and Richard and Elissa Furlong. Beloved wife of sixty years to Robert E. McGuire. Cherished mother and mother in law of Leslie and Tom Orofino, Julie and Bob McCarthy, Mary Jo Basile and former spouse, Richard Basile and Kathleen and Peter Hoff. A Devoted grandmother of nine and great grandmother of seven. She was a successful real estate broker for many years at Caldwell Banker, she was also a member of St. Mary’s R.C Church, Manhasset Women’s Club, American Legion and an avid bridge player. Truly a life well lived, Mary McGuire will lie in repose at Fairchild’s Funeral Chapel at 1570 Northern Blvd., Manhasset, Long Island, on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 pm. A Funeral mass will be conducted at St. Mary’s Church, Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10:00 a.m.
