Marvin Lewis Jones

Marvin Lewis Jones, 82, died Friday. Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Jacob Jones and Lettie Wilkins Jones. Mr. Jones was a retired painting contractor. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Hocutt Bapist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Survivors include his daughter, Karen Jones Shambaugh (Paul) of Clayton; grandchildren, Christopher Shambaugh (Jennifer) of Kenly and Patrick Shambaugh (Kayla) of Oakboro; great-grandchildren, Colby (Butter Bean) and Jordan (Sugar Plum).
