Marsha Lynn Powell

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Marsha Lynn Eckert Powell on March 16, 2026. Marsha left this world surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled.

Marsha was preceded in death by her beloved parents, LaQuita and Max Eckert; her husband, Billy Powell; her mother and father-in-law, Lavern and Bill Powell.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Karen Hightower; her brother, Randy Eckert; her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Tiffany Powell; along with her precious granddaughter, Blaire Lassiter, all who brought her so much joy. She also leaves behind her faithful dog, Cody, and her cherished cats, Wild Thing, Milo, and Callie-Sue, who were just as much part of her family as everyone else.

Marsha was a woman full of life, energy, and heart. She stayed active and embraced each day with strength and determination. As a business owner and talented cosmetologist, she touched countless lives, not just through her work, but through her kindness, conversation, and genuine care for others.

She found peace and happiness in the outdoors, especially at the beach, where she loved to soak in the beauty and calm of the sun. At home, she took pride in her yard and even found joy in cutting the grass-simple moments that reflected her appreciation for life and all its blessings.

More than anything, Marsha loved her family and friends deeply. She had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved, and those who knew her will carry that warmth with them always.

Though she is no longer with us, she lives on in the memories we hold, the love she gave, and the lives she touched. She will be missed beyond words and remembered forever.
