Marie Sealey

ANGIER - Marie Dillard Sealey, 69, of Angier, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on May 23rd, 2025. Born on December 14th, 1955 to the late Victor and Ruby Mae Dillard, Marie was a treasured companion in the lives of all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her sisters Katherine Brooks and Carol Dillard; her brothers, Victor and Richard Dillard; and her granddaughter, Jace Harper Sealey.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband and best friend of 53 years, John Henry Sealey, Jr; son, John Henry Sealey, III (Emily); daughter, Christina Sealey Czysz (Donald); and grandchildren, Coen and Kelcey Czysz.

Alma Marie Dillard Sealey.... She went by multiple names. Mo to her devoted best friend and husband of 53 years. When you see one, you see the other-2 peas in a pod! Marie to her friends and coworkers. Ms Marie to the friends of her kids and grandkids who she loved and supported as if they were her own. Momma to Chrissy and Little John- her pride and joy. She built them up and supported them in all their adventures and endeavors! And her favorite- Nana. Oh how much she loves her Coen, Kelcey and Jace! Coen and Kelcey know what true unlimited love is because of their Nana. Now it's Jace's turn to get all Nana's cuddles.

Marie is a Christ follower who gave generously and selflessly. She knit hats for babies in memory of Jace and donated not only to hospitals but to strangers everywhere she went. She made beautiful prayer quilts and pillowcases that touched only God knows how many lives! Her honesty and candor never left you guessing what's on her mind! Her silly sense of humor and ability to lighten the mood made everyone comfortable around her! But her unbreakable faith is her greatest legacy. Even as she fought stage 4 melanoma she proclaimed "God's got this!!!! No negative thoughts. Keep lifting up His glorious spirit. He loves us all and holds us all in His hands. Give Him all the glory!!!!! I am at complete peace!!!!!"

So it's not good bye, it's see you later. We love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, May 29th, 2025 at Providence Presbyterian Church, 14664 NC-210, Angier, North Carolina 27501, with a committal service to follow at the church cemetery. The family would also like to invite attendees to a small gathering at the church following the completion of the committal service.
