Margaret A. Walters

RALEIGH - Margaret A. Walters, 98, passed away Sunday. Born in Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late David Gill Maultsby and Margaret Hall Maultsby. Mrs. Walters was a passionate worker with The Salvation Army where she served as a social worker. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday at The Salvation Army, Raleigh Corps. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Walters of Garner; 9 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as 12 nieces and 6 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Walters; daughter, Lurlene Stephenson, sons, Ben Walters and Lewie Walters.
