Marc Stuart Rose, 65, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September, 9th 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and community.
Born in Raleigh on December 11, 1959, Marc was the beloved son of Leon and Esther Rose and the cherished younger brother of Paul and Sandy. From an early age, Marc was known for his warmth, humor, and ability to make friends wherever he went-a gift he carried throughout his life.
A proud graduate of Broughton High School and UNC Charlotte, Marc earned his degree in business and went on to follow in the footsteps of his family's long-standing furniture business. He served as manager of Caraleigh Furniture Company for 15 years before embarking on a successful career as a manufacturers' representative for Ashley Furniture. Marc was also active in the Raleigh Merchants Association, the Southern Home Furnishings Retail Association, and the Raleigh Jewish community, where his leadership and friendships made a lasting mark.
For 35 years, Marc shared a loving marriage with Amy Rose, and together they raised their daughter, Heidi Rose, who was the light of his life. He treasured family celebrations, especially Jewish holidays at the family home, where his presence brought joy and laughter to all.
Marc found peace and adventure on the water, often sailing the family's 22-foot Chrysler at Jordan Lake and Kerr Lake, and fondly remembered sailing on Lake Norman during his college days. An athlete and outdoorsman, he enjoyed tennis and basketball, and he was a lifelong and devoted UNC Tar Heel fan.
His early years in Boy Scouts and his deep involvement in the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization AZA reflected his commitment to friendship, service, and Jewish life-values he carried into adulthood and passed on to future generations.
Marc is survived by his wife, Amy; his daughter, Heidi; his brothers, Paul and Sandy; his nieces Jamie Eliahu (Mike), Dara Greenberg (Josh), Sarah Rose (Zach), Nina Rose, Hanah Rose (Ryan), Abigail Rose, five great-nephews, one great niece, and his cousin Robbie Schultz. He will be remembered always as a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched countless lives.
Funeral services will be held graveside at Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery on September 11th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitions Life Care or Jewish Family Services of Greater Raleigh.
