Dr. Maged H. Saad

GARNER - Dr. Maged H. Saad, 89, died peacefully at home on June 21, 2026, ironically enough on Father's Day, after a year-long battle from a massive stroke.

He was born in Cairo, Egypt on May 22, 1937, and immigrated to America in 1971, with his wife, Magda, and first son, Tamer (who was only 3 years old at the time), to create a better life for his family. He became a successful and very well-respected psychiatrist for over 40 years.

His passion was always in photography, as proven in his plethora of slides, photos, and albums. He loved animals, nature, and all the beauty of life.

Dr. Saad is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Magda Saad; two sons, Tamer Saad and Adam Saad; and his sister, Samia Saad who still resides in Egypt.

He is finally at peace with his "brothers" and childhood friends that he missed and often referred to dearly, Mones, Mohsen, Samir, and countless others that have left this life in previous years.

A private funeral will be held for family members.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, located at 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.
