Lynne Farrington Jackson

Lynne Farrington Jackson, 78, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, following a period of declining health. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 31, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Franklin David Farrington Jr. and Beverly June Scarlet Farrington.

She grew up in Utah and graduated from Granite High School in 1965. Then spent a lifetime of work in the banking industry where, over her working years, she was employed at the Federal Reserve Bank, First Security Bank and finally retiring in 2012 as a Research Analyst from First Citizens Bank.

Lynne was a loving wife, mother, and sister. The thing she was most fond of was her family; her love and commitment to them was something to admire and was reflected in all that she did. She cherished spending time with her husband, son, and daughter.

Lynne was a devoted and active member of First Presbyterian Church of Garner, singing in the choir and serving faithfully as an elder where she led numerous mission projects. She had a deep compassion for helping others, and poured her talents and creativity into that calling. Whether she was knitting prayer shawls, crafting greeting cards, sewing quilts, making jewelry, or creating countless other handmade gifts, Lynne used her skills to offer comfort, care, and dignity to those around her.

She played a key role in developing a program that provided blessing bags filled with food and essential items for the unhoused. For many years, she also served as a meal coordinator for Family Promise, and she dedicated her time and energy to the work of Able to Serve. Lynne's commitment to service touched many lives and reflected the generosity of her spirit.

In her spare time, Lynne enjoyed playing board games, reading, and watching mysteries and thrillers. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family, who were her greatest joy.

Lynne is survived by her loving husband, Joseph G. Jackson; son, Glen L. Jackson; daughter, Lisa K. Jackson; brothers, Frank, Larry, Dennis, Raymond, and Paul Farrington; and sister, Dianne Christensen.
