Lydia G. Warren

BENSON– Lydia Catherine Godwin Warren, 82, passed away at Liberty Commons in Benson on Monday. A native of Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley and Levelia Godwin. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday June 14th at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 3000 East Garner Rd. Raleigh. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 PM prior to the service at the church. Lydia is survived by her daughters, Dawn Davies and husband, Philip of Clayton, Cynthia Eason and husband, Linwood of Dunn; son, Richard Warren of Benson; sisters, Pearlie Johnson of Dunn, Frances Jernigan of Ocean Isle; grandchildren, Andrea Booth and husband, Matthew, Kevin Eason, Gareth Davies, Megan Davies, Logan Warren; great grandchildren, Warren and Mason. In addition to her parents, Lydia is preceded in death by her husband, Mack Warren; sisters, Edith Fields and Shelia Ivey.
