Lucienne Deriveau

Lucienne Deriveau, born Lucienne Chery, age 70, passed away Monday morning, September 22, 2025, at UNC Health Rex Hospital Holly Springs, due to breast cancer.

She was born October 24, 1954, in Haiti Daughter of Benito Chery and Iliana Gelva.

Lucienne was preceded in death by her husband Andonic Deriveau, her father Benito Chery, her sister Bernadette Chery.

She was an active member of Eglise de Dieu de la rue du centre, member of group deborah, the president of Choral distict, and bataillon, she was a woman of God. She was passionate of spiritual activites. She enjoyed and was never scared to share the gospel of God. Her famous word was : “Bondye se zafe pam”

Lucienne is survived by her brothers: Pierre Johny, Joseph Ernest and Maxon yves/Chery ; and Rose Marie Chery her sister. Her sisters in law : Dorcas Chery, Edna Chery. Her nieces: Juhnyca, Jemima, Ashriel, Shedley/Chery and nephews: Dorjny, Christian, Stanley, Ezahiel and Sander/Chery. Her Cousins: Manold, Dominique, Faustin, Anelie/Chery.

She also leaves many other family members and friends specifically: Mary Johson, Bernadelte Argan, Mary Norgaisse and Chantal Alexis who will sadly miss her.

A celebration of Lucienne Life will be conducted at 10:30am, Saturday October 11th 2025 in the Bryan Lee Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 9:30am, until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Holly Springs Cemetery, 451 Earp St, Holly Springs, NC 27540
