Linwood Alford Matthews

Linwood A. Matthews, 87, passed away surrounded by his loving family. A native of Harnett County he was the son of the late James Alford and Retha Johnson Matthews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM at Neill’s Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Harnett Memorial Park Linwood was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty Pleasant Matthews. Surviving are his daughter; Debra Matthews Rollins and husband, Larry; son, Jerry Matthews and wife, Terri; brother, Billy Ray Matthews and wife, Frieda; grandchildren Stacey Thompson and husband, Lee; Julie Wilson and husband, Danny; Amber Greene and Jonathan Matthews; great-grandchildren, Chloee and Bianca Greene, Logan and Lana Thompson, Peyton and Callie Wilson. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier and at other times at the home of Debra and Larry Rollins
