Linda Williams

Linda Staton Williams of Angier, NC, passed away on August 12, 2026, at Rex Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born October 4,1942, in Clinton, NC, to Howard Thompson Staton and Beulah Cannady Staton.

The family moved to Raleigh, NC, in 1954, and Linda graduated from Cary High School in 1961. Linda was completely devoted to her family and loved taking care of her home and her flower garden. She had a natural gift for growing flowers and was happiest when she had her hands in the dirt.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Herman Williams. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Williams of Angier, NC; her daughter, Laura Williams Ingram and husband Robert of Garner, NC; her sister, Judy Nutt, of North Myrtle Beach, SC; her three brothers, Billy Staton of Raleigh, NC; Ray Staton and wife Sue of Roseboro, NC; and Glenn Staton and wife Becky of Clayton, NC; and her beloved grandson, Jesse Ingram, who was one of the greatest joys of her life.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 pm, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier, NC. A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier,
