Lillie Mae Fitzjurls

Lillie Mae Fitzjurls, age 94, of Raleigh, NC died Monday, April 28, 2025 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 23, 1931 to the late Henry Hudson and Lottie Keith Hamilton and she was the widow of the George Lovett.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Lovett Whalen and Deborah Bland, both of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren, Colin, Steven and Tamara; eight great-grandchildren and six great, great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven Lovett; her grandson, Michael and her brothers, Riley Hamilton and Hubert Hamilton.

Lillie Mae loved the Lord and her church. It was nothing out of the normal to see her volunteering and serving the Lord by being the hands and feet of Jesus for her church. She was a Proverbs 31 lady. She graduated from Garner High School, a true local and southern belle. In her spare time, she loved to do crafts, often donating them to the church and different ministries around the church. Her recreational getaway was camping; she loved to be out in nature with her friends and family.

Her family will receive friends and family on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 10:30 am in the Mid-Way Baptist Church, 6910 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, NC. Her graveside service will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
